Alternate CNG Stations on Islamabad to Lahore Motorway

One of the engineering marvels that we see in Pakistan is Motorway. We appreciated this road so much that it’s CNG stations are almost chocked on weekends. Some of us have devised a way of using alternate CNG stations on this road which means that instead of using the conventional CNG stations built on Motorway Rest areas, use locally built stations built outside the road. Advantages of using these stations is that, one has to spend less on gas, pressure is good and then no waiting. But the big problem comes as to from where to refill the gas as the interchanges are very far from each other and you cannot leave motorway without them. So If you are coming from Lahore to Islamabad and your tank can do a milage of around 110 to 140 KM on long routes in one go, remember to Fill your tank from Thokar Niaz Baig, try searching for Pindi Bhatian CNG station (Fill your tank from here even if your tank is not empty as next station is very far), the last stop should be at chakri or chakwal . Hopefully you would reach Islamabad on these three refills.

If you are coming from Islamabad to Lahore, take your first refill break on M2 motorway entrance, then at Chakwal interchange and then at pindi bhatian.

P.S. Don’t even think of going on the motorway with no petrol.

DHA Valley Hoad

DHA Valley Hoax, Last week the hottest topic in Islamabad and Lahore was DHA Valley plots booking. Claim made was that they never opened small plots for sale. Cool isn't it, pay less amount and get a place with some of the elite class in this country. Surprisingly, I also fell for it. But you know "No pain, no Gain" the process was not as simple as get the form, submit it "Hallelujah!!!". There was a for processing fee of 8000PKR non refundable that means you won't be seeing this amount if you apply for these plots. In addition to this some economics rules also applied to it. Supply was short and demand was high, as a result the form started selling in black and when I filled the form and was about to submit it, the state agent told me with sarcasm in his voice "You would have to pay 3000PKR for this form". What!!! that means if you are applying for this valley, first say good bye to Rs. 11000 and then wish that your form is accepted. Way to go DHA
